Facilities

The lab and office spaces of Nusenics are located at the VanCamp Incubator, a 22,000 ft2 multi-tenant facility in East Lansing, Michigan. Nusenics has the required equipment to support its development and manufacturing of the fiber-optic temperature sensors and fiber-optic bolometers. Major equipment includes Ibsen I-MON 512 pixel high-speed (3,000 frames/second), spectrometer, low degree-of-polarization 1550 nm SLED light source with a power output > 15 mW and a full-width-at-half-maximum bandwidth of > 70 nm, optical fiber fusion splicer kit, Arroyo Instruments 6310 laser current and temperature controller, high-power 980 nm fiber-pigtailed diode lasers, various free-space laser sources, 5-channel coarse wavelength division multiplexers, fiber-optic circulators and couplers, photodectors, optical powermeter, inspection microscopes, various optomechanical translation stages, lens, mirrors, oscilloscopes, and function generators.

In addition to the private lab and office space, Nusenics has access to the shared conference rooms and equipment rooms that host a variety of top-of-the-line research equipment including freezers and refrigerators, fume hood, autoclaves, various microscopes, gas chambers, a glassware washer, and more.
